This conceptual exhibit encompasses Imogen Heap on her career throughout music from her early childhood and adolescence, to her greatest hits, and ending with a look into her most recent work, where she created two instrumental albums with biologist, Dan O’Neill, to bring the sounds of nature into music.


Guests will experience an immersive timeline of Heap’s career. Through the first section, musical instruments are embedded into the ground, with their sounds played as one walks over them. The second section brings the viewer into Heap’s greatest hits with headphones hanging from the ceiling, linked to different screens to watch her music videos. The last section immerses the viewer into the sounds of nature that make up her most recent work, Chordata Bytes I and II. Guests will leave with a mixtape vinyl, dedicated to the exhibit, as well as a deeper understanding of the range and influence this artist has produced over her lifetime.
